RANGE : Adjunct instructors are hired on a semester basis and are paid per lecture hour equivalent (LHE). Minimum - $83.69 (less than a masters) and Maximum - $90.50 (Doctorate)
DESCRIPTION
Antelope Valley College invites applications for our adjunct (Temporary, part-time) faculty applicant pool for the following Ethnic Studies Instructor.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
- Instruct students in the assigned discipline
- Assignment may include teaching courses during the day, evening, on-line courses and / or off-campus sites
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
OR the equivalent
Bachelor's degree in any academic discipline AND 12 semester units completed in graduate level course work in Ethnic Studies or related field AND Master's degree in at least one other interdisciplinary area including American Studies, Women's Studies, Filipinx Studies, Cultural Studies, Political Science, Sociology, English, History, Education, Psychology, or Art
AND Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic background of community college students.
