What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Education Hourly Teacher - Anticipated for 2024/2025 School Year position at Antelope Valley Union High School District ( AVUHSD )?
DUTIES/QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience or demonstrated knowledge in:
• Instructing students, developing program syllabi, goals and objectives
• Evaluating students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives
• Ensuring students learning outcomes are attained and appropriately recorded
• Maintaining program certification requirements, as appropriate
• Preparing and maintaining required documentation and administrative reports
• Maintaining knowledge of current trends and developing in the field by attending staff development training, workshops, seminars and conferences
Duties/Qualifications:
- EL Authorized
- Ongoing Professional collaboration
- Development of small learning communities
- Standards based instruction and curriculum
- Research based instructional strategies
- Multiple formative assessments
- Basic computer programs such as PowerSchools, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word & Excel
- Working with at-risk youth/working at a Title I school, working with special needs
populations. - Multicultural education
- Secondary Literacy implementation.
