What You'll Do
Business Development Agency Expansion
- Collaborate with Antenna's executive team to develop a business strategy for operationalizing and leading the day-to-day management of our Performance Marketing practice.
- Contribute to shaping Antenna's agency marketing strategy to support business development and talent recruitment objectives.
- Set the vision, build, and lead the Performance Marketing function.
- Maintain and hit profitability targets and operations KPIs.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to grow Antenna's offerings and ensure smooth collaboration on integrated accounts and cross-functional teams.
- Manage the practice P&L, ensure profitability, and stay accountable to the bottom line.
- Collaborate with Antenna's executive team to set and achieve personal goals for new business origination.
- Coordinate with Antenna's Growth team to lead the development of proposals for relevant prospective clients, helping to tailor proposals to client-partner objectives.
- Ensure client programs continually track to campaign goals and objectives, focusing on key metrics, while ensuring profitability. Hold quality of work in the highest regard.
- Facilitate highly communicative, direct, two-way relationships with client-partners, reinforcing strategic counsel and support, and confidence in agency expertise and services.
- Champion integrated services throughout all client engagements, partnering across earned media, creative, web development, and other digital specialties.
- Develop and oversee the marketing strategies for all digital channels, including but not limited to paid media (search, social, programmatic, video, audio, etc ), SEO, Email Nuture, Marketing Automation/CRM, Organic Social, ABM and offline (direct mail, radio, OOH) channels.
- Proactively improve overall campaign processes and identify new opportunities to test, measure, and scale new channels
- Expand Antenna's owned social capabilities (social media strategy, monitoring & reporting, community management, social customer service, and content strategy)
- Expand Antenna's research, data, and measurement capabilities to drive actionable insights and establish a "data-as-a-service" mindset, ensuring alignment with client business outcomes.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to grow Antenna's offerings and ensure smooth collaboration on integrated accounts and cross-functional teams.
- Encourage formal client assessment of agency performance – Quarterly Business Review (QBRs) – or at a frequency appropriate to the account.
- Work with the practice Vice Presidents to identify and act on opportunities to expand client relationships and campaign scopes.
- Set the vision, build, and lead the Performance & Digital Marketing function.
- Meet regularly with Chief Client Officer and Chief Growth Officer to discuss challenges, demands, best practices for growth, and opportunities.
- Manage, motivate, and mentor employees, setting and communicating consistent goals and objectives for client campaigns and professional development.
- Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, achievement, respect, individuality, empowerment, and creative innovation backed by strategic thinking.
- Identify strong performers and emerging talent, communicating directly and consistently that they are valued through verbal and written commendations and, as appropriate, recommending monetary rewards.
- Identify resource requirements based on projected growth
- Conduct biweekly check-ins with direct reports and provide counsel and feedback on how to grow professionally, as well as provide counsel on how to constructively approach client and agency demands.
- Work closely with Chief Client Officer and SVP of Operations to assign and monitor monthly staff client allocations, adjusting account workloads as appropriate.
- Track and conduct staff reviews in a timely and comprehensive manner, providing candid and direct feedback.
- Nurture relationship with agency CEO and C-Suite. Take advantage of open door policy to introduce new ideas, seek professional advice, and flag issues that demand attention.
- 12-15 years of experience building effective multi-channel marketing strategies, including paid media, SEO, Social media, ABM, email marketing and automation (agency experience required)
- Expertise in leveraging advanced analytics and data-driven strategies to inform decision-making, optimize performance, and align with organizational goals
- Experience successfully building, managing, leading, and growing a digital/performance marketing team
- Experience and/or interest in industries Antenna specializes in: Cleantech, Health, Mobility, Real Estate, B2B Tech, etc.
- Experience building and leading cross-functional teams, and managing practice-level and campaign-level P&Ls
- Ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team
- Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities with tight deadlines
- Strong analytical, forecasting, and budgeting skills
