Job Summary

ARA is looking for a Sr. Program Manager that is responsible for planning and overseeing one or more programs to ensure they meet quality, cost, and schedule. Sr. Program managers plan and designate program resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and provide customer updates throughout each program’s period of performance to deliver quality products or services on-time.

ARA Sr. Program Managers lead the development and production of a wide range of existing and developing RF components, subsystems and systems. The ideal candidate will leverage their leadership skills to ensure quality and performance throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Support and/or lead capture, bid and proposal activities.
  • Manage and direct the daily execution of multiple programs or large- scale programs within contract requirements to assure that cost, schedules, and performance goals are met.
  • Lead all meetings and the integrated product team (proposal kick-off through program close).
  • Provide interface, communication, and coordination with internal and external customers on matters pertaining to existing contracts and bid and proposal activities.
  • Represent management at program reviews, meetings, seminars, etc.
  • Develop and implement plans and schedules to execute contracts/subcontracts. Allocate and control contract budgets for labor, material, travel and purchased services. Report program status to senior management monthly.
  • Formally identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risk throughout the program lifecycle. Obtains management approval prior to making decisions that will cause deterioration of established program cost and schedule objectives.
  • Perform variance analysis of schedule and cost on a formal and informal basis and present them to senior management (i.e., earned value management system)
  • Assure that conduct of contractual requirements is executed in accordance with appropriate regulatory and Company policies and procedures (i.e., federal acquisition regulations).
  • Proven ability to manage changing priorities and aggressive timelines 
  • May lead company's programs reviews due to knowledge and experience.

Experience and Skills

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

  • 10-15 years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience 
  • Active (within the last 2 years) SECRET Security clearance.  TOP SECRET or above clearance a significant plus 
  • Proficiency in using all Microsoft Office tools including Project
  • Experience with Earned Value Management
  • Experience with firm fixed price and cost-type contracts.
  • Experience with commercial and military customers.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency products, subsystems and systems.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related technical field required
  • PMP Certification is a plus
