Supports the Payment Integrity line of business

Location: Alternate locations may be considered. This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Business Analyst III is responsible for finding and analyzing provider contract language, provider manuals, and reimbursement policies. This position will utilize these insights and other systems to identify AI opportunities, verify data, and keep up-to-date information to support claim payment integrity.

How you will make an impact:

• Analyze provider contract language, provider manuals, and reimbursement policies information.

• Elicit and document business software requirements to address complex needs, including AI projects.

• Collaborate with programming staff to ensure requirements are incorporated as needed, including testing.

• Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to software and data.

• Maintain data used to ensure claim payment integrity.

• Develop project plans and identify and coordinate resources, including those outside the business team.

• Act as a resource to users of the software, and data maintained by the team to address questions/issues.

• May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team.

Minimum Requirements

• Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years business analysis experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences

• Proficient in provider contract language, reimbursement policies, provider manuals, clinical editing.

• Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred.

• Working knowledge of WGS claims processing, reimbursement policies, and procedures.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with research-oriented approach.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages to completion

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Moderate Access database experience.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $74,760 to $128,160.
