JOB DEVELOPER
SHIFT: FULL-TIME
SCHEDULE: MONDAY through FRIDAY
8:00am to 4:30pm / Some weekends and evening events.
Overview:
Under the supervision of the Director of Employment Programs, establishes and maintains community integrated employment opportunities, paid internships, and volunteer work experiences for Anthesis participants involved in supported employment and direct job placement. Collaborates with the individual’s team to support participants throughout the employment placement process; serves as a consultant to employers in the areas of training, support, and job adaptations. Candidate must be willing and able to interact in person with the number of people who may be involved in the participant’s life. Responsible for all phases of participant services for a specified caseload including Individual Habilitation Service Plans, participant contact notes, case conferences, discharge summaries, and others. Responsible for the development and coordination of services provided in the Supported Employment Program (SEP). Meet established team and company goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to place [dis]abled adults into competitive and integrated settings.
- Identifies & prioritizes opportunities to procure new business and broaden the services provided to existing customers.
- Act as a liaison to various accounts to maintain and increase contract work and develop growth opportunities for Anthesis.
- Acts as an advocate for persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities, represents the needs of the participants as it relates to prospective employment and contract procurement, Regional Centers, Department of Rehabilitation, and care providers.
- Actively pursues opportunities to network and communicate with the public and local agencies. Promotes and participates in fundraising events for Anthesis.
- Attends and actively participates in community-based organization meetings, community projects, social and business gatherings, which may require flexing of regularly scheduled hours.
- Job Developer is expected to meet goals consistently of generating pre-determined total revenue per month in placements which includes Discovery, intakes, retention, placements, and CIE (Internship opportunities may also be taken into consideration as part of pre-determined monthly goal)
- Working in conjunction with the SE Department, aids in developing and coordinating job preparation curriculum to teach assigned participants proper job preparation skills to obtain outside employment. Acts as a liaison with community to provide arrangements for educational opportunities and transportation training.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with local regional centers as well as the Department of Rehabilitation.
- Previous experience working in a job developer role strongly preferred but not required.
- Individuals must be self-motivators and be capable of working with a team as well as independently.
- Must have effective communication skills and the ability to foster new and existing connections with customers.
- Must be skilled in public speaking including the creation, presentation, and dissemination of marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Must achieve within 12 months of start date and maintain ACRE Employment Services certification.
- Must be highly organized.
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skills.
Experience and/or Education:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Two years of higher education preferred.
- Two years of in the field of job placement, staffing, case management, supported employment for adults with intellectual /developmental disabilities is desired.
- Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Office Suites and database manipulation.
- Training in Person Center Thinking is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; two years of higher education preferred.
- Two years’ experience in the field of job placement, staffing, case management, supported employment, for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, is desired.
- Knowledge of DOR/Regional Centers as it relates to opening cases and securing authorizations is desired.
Candidate must have High School Diploma or G.E.D. and a minimum of one (1) years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Bachelor’s degree in business, rehabilitation, social work, social services preferred but not required. Candidate must be 21 years or older for vehicle insurance purposes, have a current/valid California driver license with a clean driving record. Hours are full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with some evening hours expected for chamber meetings, networking events, etc. Starting wage is based on experience.
