Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Banquet Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for guest services and a strong background in the food industry. As a Banquet Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our events run smoothly and that guests have an exceptional dining experience. You will be responsible for serving food and beverages, setting up and breaking down banquet areas, and providing outstanding service to all guests.
Responsibilities
- Set up banquet tables, chairs, and decorations according to event specifications.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure that all food handling and safety guidelines are followed during service.
- Assist with the preparation of food items as needed, including coffee and other beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness of the banquet area throughout the event.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure seamless service during events.
- Break down banquet setups after events, including cleaning tables and returning equipment to storage.
Requirements
- Previous experience in banquet serving or catering is preferred but not required.
- Strong guest relations skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events.
- A background in the culinary field or restaurant experience is a plus.
