What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Manager position at Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza?
The Facility Manager is responsible for delivering our ‘Customer Promise’ by maintaining equipment in our restaurants, ensuring compliance with basic repairs and facility improvements within a region or area. This position reports to the Director of Facilities. The Facility Manager supports 10-15 restaurants in an assigned region.
What you will do:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain all equipment, i.e., HVAC, refrigerators, air conditioners, coolers, and freezers and ensures all repairs are made to broilers, fryers, heating, and food preparation equipment.
- Installation and final connections to utilities for foodservice equipment, dish machines, gas equipment, steamers, mixers, etc., i.e., plumbing, electrical, gas, and steam
- Organize work by studying manufacturer literature, diagrams, specifications, and gathering required materials to complete installation/service.
- Test and repair foodservice equipment by operating the systems; identifying malfunctions; repairing or replacing parts and components.
- Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing regular preventive maintenance and service.
- Document actions by completing equipment records.
- Perform periodic maintenance assessments.
- Respond to emergencies including nights and weekends to correct unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- Miscellaneous plumbing, electrical, light equipment repair, and perform a variety of carpentry functions.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with safety and legal regulations.
- Partner with the management team on various projects/tasks as needed.
Position Specifications
- 5 years of experience working in the trades.
- Experience with HVAC, electrical systems, refrigeration, and a variety of cooking equipment platforms
- Must be licensed to work on HVAC and HVAC-R in your specific state
- Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills
- Possess basic knowledge of carpentry and building schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot problem equipment; mechanically included.
- Ability to work independently and manage conflicting time constraints.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must be able to work outdoors on roofs, during all seasons.
- Bending, stooping, lifting, and climbing on ladders
- Ability to lift equipment at any given time up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work long hours and travel. Potential for overtime
- On-call 24 hours by mobile
