Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and alterations on garments using sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.
- Assess damaged clothing items and determine the best course of action for repair.
- Execute basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments as needed.
- Launder garments as required to ensure cleanliness before or after repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their repair needs and timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques related to garment repair and construction.
Experience
- Proven experience in sewing machine operation is essential.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques is required.
