The Licensed Nurse is responsible for providing physical, mental, and emotional care to patients. This position is also responsible for maintaining the patient’s medical condition and evaluating medical care plans.
This position does require evenings, weekends, holidays and on call time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Delivering direct patient care to patients as assigned, using established procedures
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records on medical information, vital signs, or changes in patient’s conditions
- Monitor patients' medication usage and results
- Document patients' medical and psychological histories, physical assessment results, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, or outcomes
- Evaluate patients' behavior to formulate diagnoses or assess treatments
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans
- Provide personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to patients
- Assist with or instituting emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatment
- Clinical training for other staff
- Are accessible on-site or face-to-face via interactive videoconferencing based on the youth's clinical and/or medical needs.
- Interactive videoconferencing may not be appropriate for a youth in crisis at the facility. In these situations the clinician must be available to come on-site.
- Available twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Licensed as an RN or LPN in the State of Ohio with no restrictions.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.)
- Exemplary customer service experience including client relationships and job knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively; ability to critically think
- Knowledge of quality control
- Ability to exercise manual dexterity, control precision and arm-hand steadiness accurately
- Ability to be empathetic with patients; ability to maintain confidentiality
