We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Social Worker to join our team at one of our partner schools in Ann Arbor. You will cover a maternity leave for an existing caseload of middle school (6th-8th) students in one building. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students and be passionate about providing social work services to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. As a School Social Worker, you will collaborate with special education teachers, support staff, and families to design and implement individualized programs that address the unique needs of each student.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Social Worker to join our team at one of our partner schools in Ann Arbor. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students and be passionate about providing social work services to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. As a School Social Worker, you will collaborate with special education teachers, support staff, and families to design and implement individualized programs that address the unique needs of each student.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to general education and special education students as mandated per student IEPs.
- Monitor progress IEP goals associated with mandated services through adequate participation in student IEP meetings.
- Provide group and individual counseling sessions to general education students and special education students by monitoring the students’ responses to the interventions identified.
- Conduct collaborative consultations with general education and special education teachers to develop and monitor student responses to behavior intervention plans.
- Complete functional behavior assessments and communicate the results to all team members with appropriate supportive language for teachers, students and families.
- Facilitate educational and behavioral interventions recommended for student success through identifying community resources for students and make referrals to the appropriate resources.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work
- Valid Social Work license issued in the state of Michigan
- School Social Work Certificate (SSW-310)

Salary : $57,500 - $75,000
