AnthroMed Education is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join a special education charter school for the upcoming school year. This position focuses on providing therapeutic support to students with moderate to intensive needs, ensuring they can access their learning environment effectively.
Position Details
- Grade Levels: Ages 3-22
- Duration: Full school year
- Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:50 AM - 4:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:50 AM - 3:10 PM
- Setting: On-site, working within a specialized educational environment
- Caseload:
- Approximately 10 direct treatment hours per week
- Students aged 8-11 and 12-15
- Most sessions are individual and take place in the PT gym, classroom, campus, and community settings
- All students have IEPs and require therapeutic support
- 180 students use Assistive Technology/AAC
- Workspace:
- Access to a shared office space and additional treatment areas
- School is structured into five buildings ("houses"), each with 5-6 classrooms based on age range
- Specialized Setting: Work in a full-time special education charter school where therapy is integrated throughout the school day.
- Diverse Caseload: Serve students with varying physical needs, helping them develop mobility and functional independence.
- Collaborative Team: Work alongside teachers, OTs, SLPs, and other support staff in a highly structured and supportive environment.
- Hands-On Therapy: Provide individualized PT services in a variety of settings, ensuring students receive the best possible care.
