Position: School Social Worker
Location: Manteno, Illinois, 60950
Grade: Pre-K through 4th Grade
Dates: ASAP - June 3rd, 2025
Salary: $54,000 - $67,000 / Hourly: $43.83 - $54.38
Caseload Details: Approximately 22 students with direct services, 2 with consult, and 4 general education check-in students. Most students on the caseload are in preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade, with one 2nd-grade student.
AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support students at an Elementary School in Manteno, Illinois. The ideal candidate will provide essential social-emotional support, counseling, and interventions to students while collaborating with families and staff to foster a positive school environment. This is a full-time, in-person position, requiring 5 days per week with staff contract hours from 7:35 AM - 3:00 PM. Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Offer crisis intervention and immediate support as needed.
- Support students in navigating peer relationships, family dynamics, and other personal challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans.
- Provide consultation and professional development to staff on social-emotional learning and mental health topics.
- Connect families with community resources and services as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of services provided.
Job Requirements:
- Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work.
- Illinois PEL with an endorsement in Social Work.
- Previous experience with Elementary students is preferred, but not required.
