At AnthroMed Education, we are dedicated to enhancing the academic success of students throughout Michigan. Our team of Social Workers and Mental Health providers work collaboratively to support students' social, emotional, and educational growth.
School Social Worker Requirements
- A Master's (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work is required.
- LMSW license eligibility in the State of Michigan is essential.
- The School Social Work Approval Form (sw310) must be obtained.
- Preferred experience in a K-12 setting is beneficial.
Job Responsibilities
- Tier 1 and Tier 2 interventions will be supported, with an emphasis on promoting Social and Emotional Learning.
- Creative lesson plans for SEL learning and other interventions will be developed by partnering with teachers.
- A school climate and culture conducive to student learning will be promoted.
- IEPs and FBAs/BIPs will be created.
- Advocacy, child welfare, and case management services will be provided to students.
- Clinical interventions for students with emotional, social, attendance, and/or behavioral concerns will be assessed and implemented.
- Consultations with classroom teachers and resource provision for mental health and social/emotional issues affecting classroom performance will be performed.
- Professional development for teachers, staff, and administrators in social/emotional learning, self-care, and trauma-sensitive schools will be coordinated and facilitated.
