Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders in a self-contained elementary school setting.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapy techniques.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to develop individualized education plans and support student progress.
- Document progress and maintain accurate records of student evaluations, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student care.
- Pull out support for social-emotional needs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid Illinois State Professional Educator License (PEL)
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred, though Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply
- This is a part-time position for the duration of the academic year, from January 6, 2025, through June 5, 2025.
- The current schedule is three days a week, with 7.5 hours per day, including a 30-minute duty-free lunch.
