🎯 Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Speech-Language Pathologist in this district, you will have the benefit of voicing your interest in a specific age population you'd like to support, as this district has several positions open that cover all age groups, K-12th. In this role, you’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to create meaningful learning experiences for students while growing your skills as a professional.
Your key responsibilities will include:
✅ Conducting evaluations to assess speech and language disorders affecting students’ academic success.
✅ Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
✅ Delivering direct and indirect therapy services in various settings (push-in, pull-out).
✅ Partnering with teachers and interdisciplinary teams to promote communication development in the classroom.
✅ Monitoring progress through observations and data collection to refine therapy approaches.
✅ Making informed decisions regarding service eligibility, including discharge when appropriate.
✅ Maintaining open and transparent communication with caregivers to support continued progress at home.
🏫 What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Experience working with children in a school-based or pediatric setting.
✔️ Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
✔️ Active Maryland DOH SLP license.
