About the role
We are seeking a Global Employment Specialist to project manage the creation and setup of hiring entities around the world. In this role, you'll lead our international expansion efforts from the People side, by supporting the establishment of legal entities and employment structures in new markets, and ensuring compliance with local regulations while supporting our global talent acquisition strategy. You'll partner closely with legal, finance, payroll, tax, and HR teams to develop and implement scalable solutions for international hiring, creating a seamless employment experience for our global workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the establishment of new legal entities and employment structures in target markets, coordinating with external partners, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and HR to ensure proper payroll setup, benefits administration, and compliance with local labor laws in all jurisdictions
- Manage relationships with global employment providers, PEOs, and local partners to optimize our international employment strategy and support fast hiring in target jurisdictions
- Support the talent acquisition team by providing guidance on employment options in new markets and helping to structure compliant employment offers
You may be a good fit if you:
- Have 4-5 years of experience in global employment, entity setup from a legal operations or HR perspective, or international HR operations
- Have experience working with PEOs and Employer of Record (EOR) solutions
- Possess strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex employment concepts clearly
- Are detail-oriented with experience managing compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Have a solution-oriented mindset and can navigate ambiguity effectively in rapidly changing environments
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong candidates may also:
- Have experience setting up entities in EMEA, APAC, and/or LATAM regions
- Be knowledgeable about global payroll systems and international benefits administration, as well as the international tax implications of cross-border employment
- Demonstrate familiarity with global mobility processes, including visa requirements and immigration processes for various countries
