About the role
As a Sales Strategy Business Partner you will work closely with sales leadership to be a deep expert in a critical segment of the business. This includes in-depth segment analysis, facilitating operating cadences and powering business reviews, improving operational efficiency, driving strategic initiatives, and supporting the rapid evolution of our sales motions and organization. As such, this role exists to materially improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Anthropic’s sales efforts.
Responsibilities
Strategic Analysis, Operations & Planning
- Partner with sales segment leaders to analyze and refine their segment-specific strategy including territory planning, resource allocation, performance to plan, and growth initiatives
- Support development of targeted strategies across different customer segments based on their unique characteristics and needs
- Maintain excellence through business reviews and operating cadences to help achieve company revenue targets and strategic objectives
Data-Driven Decision Support
- Source and analyze revenue metrics, constantly analyzing data to develop insights in order to optimize segment performance and improve sales efficiency
- Partner to create, evolve and maintain reporting mechanisms with to goal of using data to go from “what” to “why”
- Synthesize tangible, strategic recommendations based on go-to-market motions, deal outcomes, direct prospect, partner and customer feedback, and product opportunities
Go-to-Market Execution
- Develop and maintain use case frameworks to capture and standardize how customers derive value
- Support multiple teams and executives in leveraging insights for new deals, expansions, growth and retention strategies
- Partner with GTM teams to evolve and refine sales motions and best practices across segments and regions, always seeking to uncover and ask meaningful unasked questions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Revenue Operations, Sales Enablement, Strategic Finance, and Product teams to drive initiatives and elevate excellence in course of business
- Support coordination between sales segments and partnership teams
- Help prepare materials for executive reviews and planning sessions
You may be a good fit if you have
- Meaningful experience in three major areas: sales and/or revenue operations, sales or customer ownership in a high growth technology business, and management consulting or other strategy-based role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and communicate both the underlying reasoning and suggested solutions in a concise, motivating, and impactful manner to any audience on the fly
- Deep experience with GTM systems (e.g.: Salesforce) and business intelligence tools (e.g. Looker, Hex)
- A passion for pulling signal through noise and an internal drive to create clarity. You strive for potent simplicity as the most elegant solution to complex situations.
- A demonstrated ability to build rapport, trust, and influence with a variety of stakeholders, This includes sales leaders, reps, other members of the GTM Strategy and Revenue Operations team, and colleagues at large.
- A healthy balance of idealism with pragmatism and the highest internal bar for excellence. You have been accountable for the results of your recommendations.

- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
