Role Summary

Anthropologie is looking for an EU Buying Coordinator who will work as a representative to the Merchandise Assistants, Assistant Buyers and Associate Buyers in the daily operational functions of assigned apparel classes.

 

The EU Buying Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating purchase orders & revisions. In this role you will develop cross-functional relationships with buyers, internal partners, and market vendors. Exceptional organization and communication skills, attention to detail, with the ability to filter and prioritize feedback and requests are keys to success in this role.

Role Responsibilities

 

  • Function as the liaison for UK buying teams within the US Anthropologie Home Office
  • Meet with US buyers monthly to look at new strategies, product development, chase, etc.
  • Attend weekly design flows to gain insight into individual styles and ways of working amongst buying and production teams
  • Manage correspondence for all OB and US market fabric commits and Purchase Orders within respective classes
  • Regularly checking POHO documents in order to stay ahead of early commits/upcoming PO’s
  • Managing email correspondence daily between Vendors and Buyers
  • Making sure that UK buyers have all information needed to make purchase decisions, i.e. colors, images, sketches, etc.
  • Initiate Purchase Orders for all OB and US market product
  • Manage input of OB and US market styles into EU TXT including use of freight calculators, images, and attributes
  • Work with cross functional teams in US and UK office to communicate top line business strategies
  • Represent London buying team in US based meetings including sample review, finalization, and investment review
  • Prepare sample photos to send to the UK team
  • Manage UK Plus & Petite purchases for respective classes including email correspondence and assortment sheets
  • Send US pic packs to UK on a bi-weekly basis to ensure no product is missed

Role Qualifications

  • Understanding or interest in retail, e-commerce backend operations and logistics, and/or merchandising
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to organize information and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work efficiently on a deadline
  • Eager to learn new skills and systems, ability to prioritize and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with a sense of urgency while supporting company goals and objectives.
  • Fan of the URBN family of brands with an understanding of the customer
  • A team player with the ability to provide leadership, training and motivation to employees and peers
  • Ability to partner and collaborate with cross functional teams with an understanding of everyone's objectives. 
  • Requires basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
