Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced fashion Concept Designer with a passion for print and pattern. This temporary position will focus on the research and development of seasonal print trends and concepts for Anthropologie apparel brands. The ideal candidate demonstrates curiosity, creativity, and innovation, coupled with the ability to navigate feedback effectively.

Role Responsibilities

  • Self-motivated with the ability to envision concepts and drive them to completion independently.
  • Proactively seeks to understand expectations, clarifying goals and deliverables as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analyzing challenges, generating creative solutions, and evaluating outcomes effectively.
  • Skilled at navigating feedback, balancing openness to constructive input with confidence in advocating for creative solutions.
  • Exceptional time management skills, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

  • Conduct in-depth research on seasonal fashion and print trends across runway, editorial, street style, and influencers.
  • Adapt and translate trends to align with Anthropologie’s customer and brand sensibilities.
  • Curate and synthesize research into visually impactful seasonal print trend packs that are both focused and directional.
  • Translate trends into original, brand-appropriate print concepts that are aspirational and align with key narratives.
  • Experiment with AI platforms, such as MidJourney, to generate original imagery and explore new creative possibilities.
  • Utilize advanced graphic design skills to develop inspiring visual tools that effectively communicate ideas and concepts.
  • Establish and maintain a shared image source archive to ensure accessibility and organization of visual resources.
  • Demonstrate strong CAD skills to visualize ideas within the desired context with precision and clarity.

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in fine art, textile design, graphic design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8–10 years of experience in the print or design industry.
  • Proven expertise in trend forecasting, print design, and apparel design.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with or openness to creative exploration using AI platforms, such as MidJourney.
