ADL Summer 2025 Internship Description

ADL’s Washington, D.C. regional operations team is looking for a dynamic intern to join us from June 9 to August 8, 2025. The ideal candidate will have experience with state and local legislation, office administration, an interest in local advocacy efforts. Our D.C. Regional office internship provides the opportunity for students to gain practical experience with nonprofit advocacy, including policy research, community outreach, campaign development, and grassroots organizing.

Application portals will close at 6 PM ET on March 7, 2025. ADL will confirm the selected candidates by mid-April.

Requirements

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
• Passion for non-profit work
• Desire to start building career within non-profit sector
  
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support to the team, including filing, organizing materials, and scheduling meetings.
• Maintain and update databases of key stakeholders, contacts, and advocacy efforts, tracking progress and outcomes.
• Work closely with staff and other interns to support ongoing projects and campaigns, offering ideas and feedback in team discussions.
• Conduct research on key issues, policies, and legislative developments relevant to the organization’s advocacy efforts including antisemitism, hate, extremism, and tracking anti-Zionist efforts.
• Attend and participate in the ADL Summer Internship Learning Program sessions, where you will get to learn more about ADL.

Compensation and Hours

• This internship is paid $17.60.
• The internship is 15 hours per week.
  
  
  

Location

• This internship will be hybrid, with on-site presence required in Washington, D.C.
  
  
  

What will you do during this internship?

• You will learn about real-life decision-making challenges and help us develop real-time solutions.
• You will have the opportunity to present your work at internal forums within ADL.
• You will have practical, hands-on experience with regional operations.
• Collaborate with, meet and learn from ADL subject matter experts at all levels and become familiar with the varied work we do to “stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all.”
