We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Antietam Broadband, a leading Internet Service Provider (ISP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable network infrastructure to deliver high-quality and reliable internet services to our customers. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex, large-scale networking projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Rate : $120,000-$150,000 / year

Responsibilities Include :
- Lead the design and implementation of high-performance, reliable, and scalable network infrastructures, including IP routing, switching, and broadband services.
- Design and optimize network topologies for maximum efficiency and fault tolerance.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting of network issues, including diagnosing and resolving network connectivity, performance, and security problems.
- Collaborate with other teams to resolve escalated technical issues and outages.
- Analyze network traffic and performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement optimizations to enhance speed, reliability, and capacity, ensuring high availability of ISP services.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, and changes.
- Provide regular reports on network performance, project status, and incident resolutions to management.
- Ensure network security through the deployment and management of firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection / prevention systems, and other security measures.
- Stay up to date with security best practices, industry trends, and relevant compliance requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical support, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless integration of new services and products.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers and technicians.
- Manage relationships with vendors and third-party service providers to evaluate, select, and integrate networking equipment and software.
- Assist in negotiating contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor network capacity and growth trends, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet future demand.
- Conduct network performance and capacity planning, making recommendations for upgrades.
