What are the responsibilities and job description for the Biostatistician position at Antigen Discovery, Inc.?
Job Description
Job Description- Biostatistics Scientist
Antigen Discovery Inc., (ADI) is looking for a Biostatistics Scientist to strengthen our analytic team. The Biostatistics Scientist will work closely with current team members to develop and maintain analytic methods and software for experimental design, quality control, data acquisition, data visualization, statistical analysis, and automated report generation. A key quality of the Biostatistics Scientist is the ability to learn about the biology of pathogens and host-pathogen interactions, which will facilitate the design of studies using our platform technology. The Biostatistics Scientist often leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team, will be able to write code for analysis in the R statistical language, be able to tailor code to specific studies and, when unfamiliar with analytical methods, packages or errors, be able to research and identify solutions (e.g., Stack Exchange, Stack Overflow, etc.).
It is expected that the Biostatistics Scientist will present their findings internally among co-investigators as well as externally to clients, collaborators, funders and key stakeholders. Domestic and international travel may be required for presentation of results at meetings and conferences. Thus, ability to communicate complex analytical concepts will be essential.
The Biostatistics Scientist will be integrated into a team environment that will include laboratory personnel, project managers, principal investigators and executive management. Both independent and collaborative work ethics will be essential.
