Key Responsibilities:
- Cargo Handling:
- Load and unload cargo from ships, trucks, and railcars.
- Secure cargo using ropes, slings, and other fastening equipment.
- Ensure proper stacking, storage, and weight distribution.

- Equipment Operation:
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and other machinery to move heavy cargo.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Inspection and Safety Compliance:
- Inspect cargo for damage and report discrepancies.
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure workplace safety.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with dock supervisors, crane operators, and other crew members to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively to coordinate cargo movements.
- Documentation:
- Record cargo quantities, types, and conditions.
- Handle documentation related to shipping and receiving.
