A Lead Infant Teacher job opening is available for someone patient, attentive, energetic, and qualified. The main responsibility of this position is to create a safe and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers. The teacher must be well-versed in children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to design engaging lesson plans that encourage children to thrive in their environment. Effective communication skills with both children and adults are essential to meet the children's needs, guide teacher assistants, and address parental concerns.
Duties
- Knowledgeable of Georgia GELDS. Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate engaging activities that are developmentally appropriate and meet each child's needs.
- Plan individual and group activities to stimulate cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor skills growth.
- Prepare, execute, and discuss infant and toddler feeding routines with parents/guardians to meet individual needs.
- Maintains a happy, sanitary, safe, secure, and relaxed atmosphere in the classroom by following daily procedures and routines.
- Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Participates in required training programs, conferences, courses, or other aspects of professional growth.
- Greet children and parents/guardians professionally and enthusiastically each day.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
At least 1-year experience working in a childcare center setting.
18 years or older
High school diploma or GED.
Must pass a criminal background check.
CPR/First Aid certified.
Must be able to maintain physical activity with young children.
Must have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of child development.
Able to lift 35lbs throughout the day.
Strong written and communication skills.
