What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Pastor/Youth Pastor position at Antioch Baptist Church White Cross?
Antioch Baptist Church, located in Chapel Hill, is seeking a part-time
associate/youth pastor with a strong faith and passion for biblical teaching and
discipleship. This position focuses on youth ministry 6 th -12 th grade, and includes
but not limited to Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Wednesday evenings.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership over youth and family ministries
- Provide encouragement and discipleship for the youth, focusing on biblical teaching and spiritual health of our youth and their families
- Coordinate, promote, implement, and further develop a quality spiritual education for youth, to include bible studies, fellowship, VBS, outreach events, camps, retreats, and mission trips
- Responsibilities include conducting youth services/studies, planning youth activities, counseling youth and/or families as needed, coordinating children’s church, and assisting the pastor in various areas of pastoral work as requested
Qualifications
- Be a born again believer
- Exhibits evidence of Christian character and servant leadership as stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4
- Strong biblical knowledge, able to teach, passion to teach
- Possess a God-given passion and calling for youth and family ministry
- Exhibit a personal and growing relationship with God
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
