Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental procedures. A passion for patient care, especially in pediatrics and endodontics, is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
- Manage patient records accurately, including medical coding and documentation.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when necessary.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist with digital impressions.
- Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional care in pediatric dentistry settings.
Experience
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology is essential.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is preferred.
- Experience with endodontics or other specialized areas of dentistry is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous but not required; we welcome enthusiastic candidates eager to learn.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems for record management is beneficial.
