Job Summary:
The Controller will oversee all accounting operations, ensure financial reporting compliance, and lead the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can effectively partner with other departments to drive financial strategy. The Controller will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the company and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to executive leadership.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow of the PT Bookkeeping Specialist
- Builds, engages, encourages and inspires team members to be the best they can be through constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Handles discipline and termination of employees with empathy and respect in accordance with company policy
- Assists Human Resources with recruitment when needed
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage the company's banking relationships
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and its banks
- Negotiate and maintain banking services, rates, and terms
Complete the month-end and year-end closing of the books
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close process
- Coordinate and lead the year-end closing process, including audit preparation
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Manage the company's accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices
- Oversee the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections
Provide financial reporting and analysis to executive leadership
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to executive leadership
- Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to team members as requested to drive business decisions
Manage the monthly and annual budgeting process
- Coordinate the development and implementation of the company's annual budget
- Monitor actual results against budget and provide variances and explanations
- Advise and educate budget owners on trends and insights for the line items they own
Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory reporting requirements
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all required tax returns
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements
Actively prepare for and participate in weekly 1x1’s with Supervisor and weekly departmental meetings
Requirements:Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, Master's degree preferred
CPA credential required
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience in working with accounting software and databases
Experience in operating with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer
Environment Requirements:
Working in an environment with various fragrances and scents
Travel Requirements:
