We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our team in a dynamic restaurant environment. As a key member of our hospitality staff, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests receive exceptional service from the moment they place their order to the moment they leave our premises. Essential Functions:
- Bringing hot food off the line into the dining room for guests.
- Assisting service staff and chef as requested.
- Restocking line as needed.
- Opening and closing side work as instructed by Chefs and Management Team.
- Arriving at work on time, properly dressed.
- Know the table numbers and seat numbers.
- Check all tickets thoroughly.
- Each tray must have appropriate underliners for soups and appetizers whenever necessary.
- Carrying trays of appetizers, entrees, and desserts to the dining room.
- Returning any bussed trays in the dining room to the dish room.
- Performing all duties in a professional manner, when dealing with guests or other employees.
- Maintaining proper communication among team members and management, to ensure satisfaction of all guests needs.
- Perform additional duties as requested by Chefs and Management Team
REQUIREMENTS:
- · High school graduate or equivalent. Preferred
- · Experience in a fine-dining or high-volume restaurant
- · Ability to converse, read and write in English.
- · Ability to establish and maintain effective interactions/relationships with management, coworkers and guests while maintaining an outgoing, friendly, and approachable attitude.
- · Work efficiently with minimal supervision and complete required tasks within set schedules and deadlines.
- · Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment with a customer service orientation.
- · Be flexible and eager to learn new things.
- · Maintain a strong professional presence and present a well-groomed appearance.
- · Must be able to safely carry large trays containing food through the kitchen into the dining rooms, bars, and banquet spaces.
- · Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, twist, lift, push, pull and grip items when necessary. May lift up to 30 pounds; push, pull or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- · Manual dexterity is essential.
- · Must be able to work varied hours/days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in accordance with restaurant operations and adhere to the attendance requirements of the company.
- · Must adhere to the established appearance, hygiene, and dress code guidelines.
- · Ability to adhere to and comply with all rules and regulations of the company.
