As a Field Service Specialist and key member of the Advanced Technical Service team, you provide in-house and on-site service including preventive maintenance, calibration, installation, and training across all product lines in the United States. You will work in the Vernon Hills, IL or Ashland, VA office and report to the Service Supervisor. The base salary range for this position is $38-$43 per hour and depends on technical and service experience within the analytical instrumentation field. Anton Paar USA offers full benefits and a profit sharing contribution to your 401k retirement savings. We offer a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years plus additional bonus opportunities.

Your responsibilities include:
- Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of instruments at customer sites within the United States.
- Become the subject matter expert for the surface area and pore measurement instrumentation.
- Managing inventory, trip planning, and administrative tasks related to service functions.
- Travel (up to 75%, including overnight) for service and maintenance.
Skills and qualifications you will need:
- 3 years experience in troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining complex analytical instruments.
- Ability to work independently and with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work with electronic schematics, test equipment, and repair tools.
- Associate's degree in engineering or related technical field.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record and passport.
