Floor Manager Event Coordinator
Job Description
- Approximate hours per week: 27-30
- Required to be on site from approx. 3PM to 9PM on Wednesdays and Thursdays; approx. 2:30PM to 10PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
- Responsible for monitoring the “events” email, corresponding with customers, booking large carryout catering, and booking in-house events.
- Candidate would be present on the floor, monitoring the distribution of tables, problem-solving situations as they arise, touching tables, and managing the flow of the restaurant.
- Candidate would be responsible for all host staff, wait staff, and any busser/server assistant.
- Candidate would ensure that the banquet room is set and ready for service the next day, either for overflow seating or an event. This would be coordinated by the manager to the servers.
- Candidate would be present at the start of each event (when they take place) to ensure the following: the event begins smoothly, the guests have all they need for setup, tasks are promptly delegated to servers, the final invoice is prepared for the event. In some case, the candidate may need to stay through the duration of the event.
- Candidate would coordinate with Bar Manager for staffing events
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 Years of Front of House management experience
- Valid Driver’s license/ reliable transportation
- Flexible scheduling (events occasionally pop-up last minute)
- Must be 25 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 Years of Front of House management experience
- Experience working in an Italian Restaurant
- Has a valid liquor license or the ability to legally obtain one
