Purchase Order Clerk / Purchasing Administrator
About The Position
Athena Farms is a foodservice distributor located in Forest Park, GA. We are currently looking for someone to join our team and assist the purchasing department with receiving all purchase orders timely and accurately.
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage customer inquiries and order taking via phone and email.
- Resolve customer problems accurately and efficiently.
- Build relationships with customers through interactive conversations.
- Accurately input orders, make changes and catch weights into Entrée daily.
- Upsell customers by offering new products and discussing current promotions.
- Receive purchase orders into system with accuracy, ensuring all items received with corresponding purchase orders in Entrée daily.
- Assist buyers with data entry, documentation, inventory adjustments and locating shorts.
- Track inbound trucks for estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) and report late trucks to Receivers and Buyers.
- Coordinate with Receiving on when unsellable product is received.
- Ensure the purchase order report is up to date and accurate.
