We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support and care to an individual that is Deaf and Autistic. He is a 36 year old male that lives in Escondido, Ca. As a DSP, you will assist our client with daily living activities and ensure his well-being while fostering independence and dignity.
The work location will be at his house in Escondido.

Saturdays: 7am-2pm/ 2pm-10pm (possible 10pm-6am)
Sundays 7am-4pm/ 4pm-10pm (Possible 10pm-6am)

Tuesdays-Friday : 2pm-10pm
In March, we will have more open shifts to pick up as well.
at times, we may require support in picking up or covering shifts.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.25 per hour

As a DSP, you will assist our client with daily living activities and ensure his well-being while fostering independence and dignity.

Duties
- Provide direct support to client in his daily activities, including personal care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as , cleaning, meal preparation, etc.
- Monitor his health and report any changes in condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist client with transportation to nearby stores or appointments, ensuring his safety during outings or appointments.
- Engage client in social activities to promote mental well-being and social interaction.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Document client progress and any incidents accurately in accordance with company policies.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to client, fostering a trusting relationship.
- Offer support with and redirect any negative behavior that may arise.
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred, but not necessary.
- experience with ASL and Autism is preferred, but not necessary
- Certification in CPR is a plus.
- Ability to perform patient monitoring tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and willingness to work as a dependable team member.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations and initial drug screen.
