Job Title: Substance Use & Mental Health Counselor (Drug Court)
Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled counselor to provide therapeutic services for clients dealing with substance use and/or mental health challenges on a drug court team. 8am-6:30pm Monday-Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling in alignment with state and agency guidelines.
- Educate clients about available benefits, community resources, and services.
- Monitor clients for signs of intoxication and withdrawal, providing treatment as necessary.
- Offer crisis interventions when required.
- Ensure clients have access to necessary medical, psychological, and psychiatric services.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide ongoing evaluations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess clients' physical and mental health needs.
- Develop, monitor, and update personalized recovery plans.
- Manage client admissions, transitions, and discharges, including securing necessary authorizations.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Facilitate psychoeducation and family therapy groups.
- Provide education and support to family members involved in clients' recovery.
- Participate in quality assurance and peer review activities.
- Offer supervision and training to interns as assigned.
- Administer medications and perform screenings as needed.
- Ensure adherence to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
- Master's degree in human services or a related field (preferred); equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC) required; additional certifications such as LCAS, LCSW, LCMHC, or LMFT preferred.
- Valid NC or SC Driver’s License required.
