What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Graduate RN position at Anveta Health Inc?
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and health histories.
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Placing Tuberculosis Skin Tests (TSTs)
- Collecting lab Samples: Blood, Urine, Stool Samples.
- Administer medications via a med pass, treatments, and injections as prescribed by physicians.
- Responding to “Code Blue” (Inmate having a life changing health event).
- Provide basic wound care, and other necessary procedures.
- Scheduling “Referral” to area physicians, specialists and coordinating with Transport Officers
- Call Area Pharmacies, when appropriate, to clarify or verify medications.
- Patient Education:
- Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, treatments, and medications.
- Offer emotional support to patients and families dealing with illness or injury.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Document patient progress, reactions to medications, and other relevant observations.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members regarding patient status and treatment plans.
- Patient Advocacy:
- Advocate for patient needs, ensuring their rights and comfort are maintained throughout their care.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Follow safety protocols, infection control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the proper use of medical equipment and technology.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in continuing education and stay updated on the latest medical practices and technologies.
- Maintain required certifications and licensure.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with Texas Board of Nursing.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- CPR/BLS and other relevant certifications.
- Blood drawing Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
