Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans.
- Perform triage to prioritize patient care based on urgency and severity of conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management, medical terminology, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, especially for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Maintain sterile processing techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients undergoing procedures.
- Document patient progress accurately in medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Utilize skills in dermal fillers as needed for cosmetic procedures within the scope of practice.
- Provide basic life support (BLS) as required, ensuring readiness for emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience working in a teaching hospital or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with sterile processing techniques and medical terminology is essential.
- Experience in home care settings is a plus, particularly with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications related to specialty areas are advantageous.
