Role: Lead Test Engineer
Locations: Dallas, Chicago and phoenix
Note: Only on W2
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- 10 years of experience in QA testing, with a focus on both manual and automated testing. Proven experience in leading and mentoring QA teams. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and existing functionality. Design and implement automated test suites using tools like Playwright, Katalon, Selenium, or equivalent.
- Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing. Conduct performance testing using tools like JMeter or equivalent. Ensure the quality of builds for scalable and resilient solutions.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on quality issues. Identify, document, and track defects using a bug tracking system.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on quality metrics. Contribute to the development and improvement of QA processes and best practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and techniques.
- Champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Experience with REST API testing using Postman. Ability to design and implement test strategies for scalable and resilient systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Playwright, Katalon, Selenium, or equivalent. Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or equivalent. Solid understanding of REST APIs and experience using Postman for API testing.
- Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Trello). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
