Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications for trading, risk management, portfolio management, and regulatory compliance within fixed income and capital markets.
- Collaborate with front office (traders, quants) and middle/back office (risk, operations, compliance) teams to gather requirements and deliver efficient, scalable, and secure solutions.
- Develop, optimize, and enhance algorithmic trading strategies for fixed-income products and ensure seamless integration with trading systems.
- Work with real-time data feeds (e.g., FIX, Reuters, Bloomberg) to capture and process market data for trading and risk management applications.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to design and implement new features, automate workflows, and improve overall system performance.
- Ensure robust testing, debugging, and monitoring of developed systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, implementation, testing, and deployment, in an Agile environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- 6 years of experience in Python development, with a focus on financial services, including experience with fixed income, capital markets, or related financial instruments.
- Strong understanding of financial products (e.g., bonds, mortgages, asset-backed securities, interest rate derivatives) and financial concepts such as pricing, valuation, risk management, and portfolio optimization.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with relevant libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, QuantLib, Matplotlib, and other financial modeling tools.
- Experience working with real-time market data feeds and financial trading systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Tradeweb).
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and data storage solutions (SQL, NoSQL, databases, and big data technologies) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in financial trading applications: Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Management Systems (EMS), and Algorithmic Trading.
- Experience in fixed income trading systems: Knowledge of pricing and risk analysis for bonds, MBS, ABS, and other fixed-income securities.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Git.
