What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Anvil Industrial Group?
Anvil Industrial Group, located in Ozark, Alabama is looking to add a Maintenance Technician to their dynamic team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must have experience in setup and operation of tools (both hand and power) used in repair, fabrication, lubrication, and cleaning
- Performs a variety of routine maintenance for facilities, including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical trade work.
- Perform general upkeep procedures as assigned. (Ex. Landscaping, carpentry, painting, etc.)
- Perform electrical procedures - single and three-phase power knowledge, low voltage AC/DC power for CNC machinery
- Perform plumbing - Installing new water lines (i.e., sinks, drains, toilets), repair and replace existing plumbing (including PEX, PVC, Iron pipe, and Copper.)
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation, welders, torches, grinders, drills, hydraulic press, and all other tools/equipment
- Perform Construction - framework (walls, windows, and doors), interior finishing (wood, brick, metal, sheetrock) painting, Installing metal siding/roofing
- Perform mechanical - Preventative maintenance on engine driven equipment (forklifts, lull, small engines), Preventative maintenance on hydraulic systems (to include press brakes, rotary screw air compressors, forklift trucks), general automotive maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting, automotive wiring (12 volt and 24-volt DC)
- Welding - Preventative Maintenance, troubleshooting, instruction of proper use, repair minor issues (welding liner, gas hoses, gauges, ground cable replacement)
- Provides mechanical and electrical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment, complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Must be able to read tape measure, use pry bar, be trained on, and operate forklift, use hammer, wrenches, grinders, and all common hand tools
- Ability to safely lift to 70 lbs.
- Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.
- Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of position
Required Skills & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in building maintenance troubleshooting, welding, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- General knowledge of use of equipment and rigging (forklift, lull, etc.) and safe work procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in the English language.
- High attention to detail and creative problem solver
- Positive attitude with a track record of delivering results.
- Self-motivated with strong ability to multitask and operate with minimal supervision.
- Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
