We are seeking a dedicated, organized, detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our healthcare companies in various HR/Payroll tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, computer literacy, and a professional demeanor to ensure smooth daily operations. This role is essential for maintaining an efficient office environment and providing exceptional support to our staff across Louisiana and New Mexico.
Duties
1. Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, and other basic staff HR/payroll inquiries.
2. Assist with time keeping portals tracking for payroll.
3. Run payroll and time-keeping reports, review, and follow-up on errors and missing information.
4. Assist with onboarding and exiting of employees.
5. Posting and updating labor law posters.
6. Assist employees with getting answers to HR, payroll, time-keeping questions.
7. Handle records management, paper and digital files.
8. Assist/facilitate/track ongoing employee training as prescribed by law
9. Additional duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
1. Minimum of high school education; preferably with secretarial and computer background.
2. General knowledge of spelling, punctuation, grammar, clinical records and office procedures.
3. Basic knowledge of office machines.
4. Basic knowledge of telephone skills.
5. Aptitude or computer data entry and use of current software systems.
6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
7. Ability to meet the public and staff as a positive, friendly and professional representative of the organization.
8. Effective social interaction, communication and organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks efficiently.
