Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Monitor patient health by observing and reporting changes in condition or behavior.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Administer first aid as needed and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Support individuals with special needs, including those with autism or requiring hospice care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Document patient observations and care provided in accordance with established protocols.
Skills
- Experience in senior care or home health settings is preferred.
- Strong patient care skills with an emphasis on compassion and empathy.
- Ability to perform patient monitoring effectively, recognizing signs that require attention.
- Proficiency in cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Knowledge of first aid practices and emergency response procedures.
- Capability for heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
- Familiarity with hospice care principles is beneficial.
