About the Job
As the most senior-level Staff Software Engineer on this product dev team, you will own major roadmap items for our AI-powered talent management product. You will be responsible for investments that span multiple quarters and meaningfully drive the platform forward. You will collaborate closely with other teams - product, design, AI, Platform on these investments.
Responsibilities
- Build the next generation of Talent Management software using cutting-edge technology (e.g., building agentic experiences with LLMs).
- Architect and execute on platform-level improvements with a focus on quality, performance, design, and reusability.
- Define the roadmap for multi-quarter initiatives involving multiple cross functional teams.
- Write clean, scalable and performant code.
- Identify and advocate for improvements to the technical foundation and architecture.
- Prototype new ideas and collaborate to define the roadmap for taking them to production.
- Raise the bar for the team on technical designs and decisions.
- Mentor and coach lead engineers on the team.
- Work with engineering and product leadership on strategy and roadmap.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in AI-assisted product development.
- Handle enterprise customer escalation issues as needed.

Please note this role is categorized as onsite or hybrid in Santa Clara, CA The base salary ranges below are provided for pay transparency. Base pay is only one piece of our total compensation package as this role may be eligible for bonus and equity awards. Compensation varies depending on a number of factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and zone. Zones are determined by location. Zone A is in SF Bay Area, CA .
Zone A Base annual salary range : $187,000 to 219,000 discretionary bonus up to 20% preIPO equity (stock options).
Hybrid Work @ Eightfold : We embrace a hybrid work model that aims to boost collaboration, enhance our culture, and drive innovation through a blend of remote and in-person work. We are committed to creating a dynamic and flexible work environment that nurtures the collaborative spirit of our team. Starting February 1, 2024, employees residing near Santa Clara, California, or our Bangalore and Noida offices in India will return to the office twice a week.
