Anza Animal Clinic is looking for an experienced full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team!
Location:
3575 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Westlake Village, CA 91362
Clinic Hours
Monday through Friday 8:00am-6:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-1:00pm
Compensation
$19-23 based on experience
We are looking for a self-starter who enjoys utilizing their multi-tasking skills for a fast-paced environment. The veterinary assistant will lead routine exam rooms by obtaining the patient’s history, prepare and discuss core vaccines, communicate with the DVM and veterinary technicians on diagnostics, dispense medications, and client communications.
Our ideal candidate has 2-3 years of industry experience, is comfortable with basic veterinary assisting skills such as restraint, blood draws, lab work, and day-to-day operations of a veterinary hospital. Knowledge of Fear Free techniques and AVImark software are a plus!Â
Job Summary
The Veterinary Assistant provides support to the medical staff in the operation of a small animal facility in accordance with hospital policy and procedures and provides medical care to patients as allowed in the veterinary practice act focused on room and pharmacy assistance. The
veterinary assistant and veterinary technician will be able to communicate effectively with team members and clients and have great attention to detail and organizational abilities.
