POSITION FUNCTION

• Responsible for general plant maintenance including installing, repairing, and maintaining CNC machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plumbing and electrical systems of buildings and grounds by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)

• General plant maintenance as required.

• Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and setup of CNC machines and other control driven equipment

• Repair, program, and troubleshoot control systems on plant equipment

• Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and operations to get machines up and running to capacity

• Communicate with supervisors and managers to inform of situations that may impact production

• Contact and interact with contractors for maintenance issues requiring outside expertise

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on the facility's CNC and production machinery when necessary.

• Move and install plant and building equipment, layout and make necessary pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic line connections

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION

• Experience performing CNC equipment maintenance.

• Experience with a formal preventative maintenance program.

• High school diploma/GED or prior work experience.

Meet requirements for drug and background screening.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate information with managers and other employees, both orally and in writing.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as rate, ratio, interest, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, flying metal burrs and chips, and possible chemical irritants. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
