Job description
The Maintenance person reports to the General Manager. This is a full-time hourly, at-will position, requiring 40 hours per week with benefits.
To perform various tasks related to the routine maintenance and repair of the building.
With experience in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and general maintenance work. To perform corrective, preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, on the buildings, plumbing, irrigation, electrical and other equipment. Inspects the entire grounds, including parking lots and all recreation areas.
Position Essential Tasks –
- Follow written / oral directions to satisfactorily complete all assigned tasks working individually or with other staff
- Work to maintain and improve the common areas
- Power washing
- Painting and Drywall repair
- Pool and fitness center maintenance, sanitation and cleaning as directed
- Plumbing and irrigation repairs as directed
- Able to use a variety of power and hand tools to complete tasks ;
- Maintenance cleaning of shop and storage areas;
- Maintenance and sanitation of recycle and dumpster areas;
- Must be willing to become familiar and support all federal and state safety and security standards including OSHA and HIOSH requirements;
- Check vendors, movers and contractors into the building;
- Other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements –
- High school diploma or GED
- Good oral and written English skills
- Must furnish documents allowing work in the United States
- Experience with multi building property maintenance
- Must be able to obtain a favorable background check and pass a drug test
