Position Overview:
First of three levels of manufacturing operator job classifications. As a member of a production team, responsibilities are to perform repetitive, relatively simple assembly, packaging, light mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly work of low complexity. Work from samples or assembly drawings following close direction and supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble parts or components according to written, and/or verbal instructions.
- Utilize hand tools and fixtures to perform processes.
- Package completed products for delivery to finished goods.
- Responsible for quality of work with ability to check own work.
- Perform routine cleanup and maintenance within the manufacturing department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- Preferred Experience: 1-2 years of experience
Competencies and Skills:
- Basic English skills required.
- Basic math and comparison skills required.
- Must have great attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow verbal and written assembly instructions.
- Must have demonstrated teamwork and communication skills.
- Positive interpersonal skills w/ability to communicate effectively & project a positive image.
- Observe established safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to see and handle small parts
- Continuous mental and/or visual attention is required
- Typical production/warehouse environment w/varying temperatures
- Ability to work overtime
