What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position at AOB?
Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, located in Middle River, MD, seeks qualified candidates for a part-time Facilities Maintenance Technician. Under general direction of the Facilities Manager, this position will oversee the maintenance of the building. This includes the primary fields of electrical; heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC); carpentry, plumbing, etc. In this position, you will perform basic and routine maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality. This is a part-time, 20 hour a week, benefit eligible position.
Essential Functions:
- Performs basic and routine maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.
- Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures and moving furniture or materials within the facilities.
Position Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with no more than three current points.
- A minimum of 5 years of commercial or institutional experience in the identified primary field.
- Must be able to move office furniture and other items weighing up to 25 pounds, and to move items of heavier weight with the use of assistive equipment.; to move about within very tight spaces where large and potentially dangerous equipment is stored; to operate various types of manual and power tools and automated systems; and to ascend/descend a ladder as needed.
