What are the responsibilities and job description for the Primary Elementary Teacher (EX) (Current Opportunity) - St. Francis of Assisi School, Baltimore MD position at AOB?
The full-time Primary Elementary Teacher can become part of a dynamic school community. The teacher would be responsible for instruction, primarily focusing on small groups and individuals, for students in grades 1-4.
Essential Functions
- Create and implement lesson plans with clear objectives inline with the Archdiocesan Course of Study, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge, engage, and inspire students to think confidently and independently.
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students.
- Integrate the use of technology effectively into the curriculum.
- Establish reasonable standards for student achievement.
- Observe and assess student progress, record such progress, and share with parents as required by school policy.
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communications in a professional and timely manner.
- Participate in faculty meetings, collaborative planning meetings, retreats, school committees, and in-service learning opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.
Position Qualifications
- Degree in Education.
- MSDE Certification or the ability to obtain certification in 1-2 years.
- Experience in student teaching or classroom teaching at the elementary school level.
- Familiarity with a variety of technology tool to enrich and differentiate instruction.
- Practicing Catholic preferred.

Range: $40,000 – 60,000, Annualized
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
