St. Mary's High School announces a full-time faculty opening in Computer Science/Math beginning August 2024. St. Mary's High School is a Catholic, co-ed, college-preparatory school located on the banks of Spa Creek in beautiful downtown Annapolis.
Essential Functions
- Plan and deliver engaging age-appropriate lessons.
- Monitor and evaluate student outcomes.
- Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Strive to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of every student.
- Communicate effectively with parents, responding to inquiries in an empathetic and timely manner.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, parents, and community members in educating students.
- Teach a combination of math and computer science courses. Specifically, the candidate must be capable of teaching Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Trigonometry as well as introductory computer science courses for freshmen.
- Proficient with iPad technology and comfortable with technology use as it relates to teaching duties.
Position Qualifications
- Experience in a Catholic school preferred, but not required
- Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred.
- MSDE Certification and teaching experience preferred.
- Proficiency with iPad technology for teaching.
