Immaculate Heart of Mary School is seeking a Primary School Teacher to expand our dual track primary grades. He/She will have the opportunity to join a collaborative and vibrant school community and would be responsible for instruction in all core subjects in a self-contained classroom. This is a full time, benefit eligible, 10-month teaching position.
Essential Functions
- Create and implement lesson plans with clear objectives inline with the Archdiocesan Course of Study, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge, engage, and inspire students to think confidently and independently.
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students.
- Integrate the use of technology effectively into the curriculum.
- Establish reasonable standards for student achievement.
- Observe and assess student progress, record such progress, and share with parents as required by school policy.
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communications in a professional and timely manner.
- Participate in faculty meetings, collaborative planning meetings, retreats, school committees, and in-service learning opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.
Position Qualifications
- Degree in Education.
- MSDE Certification or the ability to obtain certification in 1-2 years.
- Experience in student teaching or classroom teaching at the elementary school level.
- Familiarity with a variety of technology tools to enrich and differentiate instruction.
- Practicing Catholic preferred.
Range: $46,000 - $70,000 Annualized
